Sculptra® is an FDA-approved injectable that helps gradually replace lost collagen, which supports skin cells and tissue. Sculptra® is made of a biocompatible, biodegradable, synthetic material called poly-L-lactic acid, which is gradually and naturally absorbed by the body. Radiesse® is a volumizing filler made with Calcium Hydroxyapatite, which is a well-established collagen stimulator. “HD” Radiesse® stands for “Hyper Dilute” Radiesse®. In “Hyper Diluted” form it is very effective as a bio-stimulatory treatment rather than as a volumizing filler to improve skin quality and firmness.
When injected into the correct layer of skin, Sculptra® or HD Radiesse® gradually restores lost collagen, which brings back fullness and volume to facial wrinkles, folds, crepey or sagging skin. This results in a softer and more youthful appearance.

We start with a consultation with an Advanced Injector conducting a thorough examination of your face, learning about your appearance goals and explaining the recommended procedure(s) in detail, so you can decide if it’s right for you. Once you’re comfortable with your decision, we craft plan for your sculptra® or HD Radiesse® treatment.
The treatment may take 30 minutes -1 hour depending on the number of areas being treated. Discomfort is managed with topical as well as injectable numbing medication. Injections are performed using either a needle, a cannula (blunt tipped tube), or both depending on the area(s) treated. You may feel some pricks, pulling or tugging sensations, and pressure in the areas being treated. Most people find this to be very tolerable.
Following the injections you will feel mildly swollen and sore for 1-3 days. Downtime is extremely minimal and you may return to your normal daily activities immediately after treatment. If you were treated with Sculptra®, you will need to massage your treated areas for 5 minutes, 5 times a day for 5 days. This is because the Sculptra® particles are chemically attracted to each other and tend to repel water.
Doing this post treatment massage regimen will help prevent the formation of bumps and nodules under the skin. Most people require 2 or more sessions, at 5 week intervals for optimal results. In order to maintain your results, you will need maintenance treatments.
